Hello Poppy creates spaces where people come together to talk, laugh, share stories and feel seen.
Growing older doesn’t mean growing invisible. It means living a life full of stories worth hearing.
Hello Poppy is a registered NPC that supports the emotional and mental well-being of vulnerable and deserving elders. At Hello Poppy, we are dedicated to creating moments of connection, conversation, compassion, dignity and joy for elders through facilitation, campaigns, activations, and collaboration and partnerships.
Hello Poppy is founded by Sean and Jessica Naylor, and headed up by Jane Linley-Thomas and Dr Paul Bushell.
Hello Poppy are proud to facilitate sessions that promote the emotional and mental well-being of elders. These are group sessions for elders that cover themes such as legacy, gratitude, connection, self-care, friendship, play and others areas of emotional coping. These sessions provide opportunities for elders to connect, share stories and advice, relax and have fun through personal growth. There is also the chance for corporate teams, school learners and other groups to join these sessions, as a way of connecting with elders and sharing and learning together.
At Hello Poppy, we are passionate about sharing the lived experience and stories of elders, as a way of building a connection between elders and their communities, and reducing isolation and loneliness amongst this vulnerable group.
This includes various campaigns and activations that create connection and storytelling through photographs, blogs, podcasts, interactive moments and other events.
We believe in the power of community collaboration. Hello Poppy are committed to working with other NGOs, corporate partners, schools, community groups and individuals to support the emotional and mental well-being of elders on existing and shared initiatives and projects.
We create simple, meaningful ways for people to connect. Our social groups for seniors provide a consistent rhythm of belonging, ensuring that no one has to navigate the journey of ageing alone.
Weekly spaces where stories are shared, laughter is heard, and people leave lighter than when they arrived.
Time spent together in homes, in communities, and in everyday moments that matter.
Joyful experiences that bring generations together and celebrate the richness of lived experience.
Working with organisations and communities to create real, human impact.
CSR programmes for businesses to serve an active role in their community.
The elders in our community are at the heart of our work. Hello Poppy exists to support the emotional and mental well-being of this vulnerable and often overlooked group. We then extend this mission by serving as a bridge for other NGO’s, corporate partners, schools, other organisations and individuals looking to get involved and contribute to the well-being of this deserving community with direction and purpose.
The emotional and mental well-being of the elders in our community is often overlooked. Although important, society often focuses on the physical care of elders while forgetting their need for emotional care, intellectual stimulation, and a sense of social belonging. Isolation is more than a feeling; it is a health crisis. Research identifies loneliness, lack of mental stimulation, and the loss of community belonging as the primary drivers of poor well-being in our aging population. At Hello Poppy we wholeheartedly believe that a lifetime of experience deserves our attention, and a lifetime of contribution deserves dignity and care.
Every week, something is happening. From local gatherings to larger events, our social groups for seniors are building real community. Here’s a look at what we’ve been building.
