Hello Poppy was delighted to be part of the Hilton Arts Festival on the 7–9 August 2026, showcasing the “Life of a Circus” and “The Gogo Olympics” photographic exhibitions. Photographed by the amazingly talented Brett Van Dort, both exhibitions offered festival goers two very different but equally joyful glimpses into the fun, colourful and inspiring stories that exist within our elder communities.
We were thrilled by how warmly the exhibitions were received. For Hello Poppy, these moments create intergenerational bridges and help reframe the narrative of ageing from one of slowing down to a story of hope and joy.
The “Gogo Olympics” exhibition felt particularly special as we look forward to the upcoming annual Gogo Olympics hosted by the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust on the 28 August. The event promises to be extraordinary celebration of older women, movement, friendship, community, and of course joy.
